waitlist, anyone?

Don't worry. Quite simply, I am waitlisted at a top-10 business school program and at another ranked 10-15. Was admitted via Fulbright to an econ PhD program ranked 40-60 (repending on the ranking) that I didn't want to apply to, and where I don't have research fit with faculty, so it's highly likely I won't attend there even if it's all I can get.

I'm praying really hard to get any of my waitlists turned into admits. Hence my signature and avatar.

Folks! my friend received a phone call from Carlson for an interview last thursday. They interviewed him and he was offered an admission via phonE. The next day, Friday, he received a mail which said that his admission is condition on another's status and if that guy declines then he would be given preference. Though my friend is otherwise fine with all this, he asked me whether the commitee was not sure of interviewing him but did it and offered an admit, but later on had other opinion so replied this way to keep him silent. he also trusts the commitee as he believes that scholars of that rank would always be righteous in conduct and judicious while making any move. Besides, he hasnot yer heard from UCLA/IBCM program and Rotman. He applied to Strategic management and International business to a select few univs, the mentioned being part of that little list . Any inputs as to how he can interpret this?

So I inquired at the three schools I was waitlisted for some kind of response, and even though it is after April 15th I heard no reply back from two of the schools. Rude, no? Oh well, I'm still very satisfied with the program I'll be joining.
