I have a passion for Anderson UCLA, even because that is my only regret. I should have applied there....

so go to UCLA.

I second that opinion. NYU Stern >> Kellogg; Stern & Columbia have the very largest Finance faculties that I can think of + the advantages of being located in New York if one is in the Finance area is non-trivial.

Although the large futures and derivatives exchanges in Chicago make it a pretty important finance center as well. Again, it seems to depend on what kind of research you're interested in.

I care about asset pricing.. so in my opinion Chicago GSB comes first.

I am lost on which programs people are comparing. I think it started off with Kellogg and Michigan and now posts have also been made comparing the programs with NYU and Chicago GSB. Could the original poster re-post this or clarify which schools s/he is comparing between?

By revealed preferences (and I think I'm rational), Columbia>UCLA.
And I'd rank NYU over UCLA but below Columbia, Kellogg a bit below UCLA, and Michigan below Kellogg.
At this level though, you're probably deciding at the margin, which means you gotta decide for yourself based on second order variables.

Stern>Kellogg>Ross, in finance field, and the order is the same if just ranked by location. NY>Chicago>Ann Arbor.
I wish that I can get in stern next year. I will apply the above 3. This is my first post here.
