I am working as a CPA & CMA in New York, but i would like to get PHD in accounting when still working me proffessional job. How are this online schools like Walden university. Is their accredation good or will it be a waste of my money and effort. Does anyone know how someone can get a PHD and still hold to thier Jobs.

Why in the world do you want to get a PhD in accounting when you already have a good job and are not interested in taking up a faculty position once you are done with your PhD?

Its just a dream i always had and i could fall back to it when i retire and maybe teach. I did CPA and CMA and i find myself idle and i need the challenge. Its just those things you want and then with family, you cant just take 4 years and go back to school. I also beleive there are opportunities outside the faculty positions. Thanks again for the reply.
