with 10 years of work experience, what is a good score for phd marketing in a college among the top 20.

What score are you referring to? (GRE?) For top 20, you want GMAT score of >720 (at the very least), and GRE quant score of >750.

Work experience does not count as much for PhD as for Master's degree in business.
