Resume (Template)

Some schools want applicants to submit a resume along with the other materials/documents. I was wondering if some of you TMers want to post a short template (one you made up or one you found)? Most of us know how to put together a resume for a job application, but this is a different resume all together. How should we tailor the resume template to fit this particular occasion?

I mimicked one of my LOR's CV format. It seems to look pretty good, and I think the more education-focused CV format is more appropriate for this occasion than your usual "job resume" format (which has considerably more weight on job experience).

I don't plan on really doing it like a CV because I have zero publications (which is mostly what's in a CV).

I'd go off of a CV format, but obviously you probably won't have anything in the publications section. You can replace this with any research you have done already, technical capabilities (programming skills), and relevant classes. Also, if you've presented research at any conferences or anything, add that in there. The Resume/CV should be a good way for an adcom to get all of the important information without looking at your application

You should make an appointment with your career services center -- they will probably have a wealth of information for you.

Check out if any of your labs have InDesign. You have total control and it will look awesome.
