Phd Application 2009 for UPF,CEMFI/UAB/CM3
Hi. I am applying for the Masters/Phd in Econ program in these four universities for school year 2009. Are there anyone else applying for the same universities? We can probably help each other out. Anyone of you having a hard time accessing CEMFI's application forms? How are your applications going so far? Glad to hear from anyone. ANyone currently in these programs are very much welcome to share their experiences. Please. hehe. Thanks.

Hello! I'm applying for CEMFI and UPF too, and also others in different countries. CEMFI webpage worked for me, but once i had server problems... and when you print it's not perfect, at least here. But at the end i managed to do everything

Hi Leguan. Wow. You applied really early eh. I hope I could do that, but I still have to write my GRE. BTW, what's UPF's GRE code? They didn't post it on their website.
Lightyears, how come I had a hard time finding their application form. I sent them a message actually. I think they're fixing it. Have you submitted your application? Do you know the acceptance rate in those schools mentioned? |

did all my applications at once, and most had a deadline around mid-december. otherwise i would still have it on my desk, i guess...
on the gre, you don't have to send it to them via ets. they accept a copy (as well as from the toefl, if you need), and request the original only once you are accepted. which gets me into some trouble, since my toefl will no longer be valid then. but anyways, the gre code should be 2531 (you can find it here: FAQ - Barcelona GSE). good luck! |

Yeah I managed to submit it without too many problems..No idea about acceptance rates. I just applied to universities where, if taken, i would go without even think, so i just need one acceptance

There is nothing wrong with my application for CEMFI......
However, I can not finish my online application for UPF(BGSE)......How to upload CV,Transcripts and other documents? Whenever I close the webpage of online application, it never save what I've edited...... |

Nope. I haven't had any troubles. I run a Mac Powerbook G4.
But I would suggest that you guys try a different computers - like the ones at your school's library. Ever since I started applications I carry around my thumb drive and randomly work on my essays and such at whatever computer I can find. |
