Does Anybody Know When Adcoms Meet?

yeah, i know that they don't get paid some bonus for that work. but i assumed that the department would care a little bit more about incoming students, by giving the files to at least associated, if not full professors. after all, they should have some more experience in evaluating candidates.

I just asked the secretary in UCSD econ to see whethter my materials are complete or not (students from UCSD cann't apply online, weird~~~)
she told me:
1) they just began reviewing domestic applicants and will review international and applicants from UCSD later
2) all the decisions (admission and rejection) will come out around early march
3) the # of applicants is 100 more than last year...sigh

That's probably because of the awesome business program that opened up and kicks *** for behavioral. UCSD is on the rise big time

So do you think this means they'll release decisions for domestics first? Seems kind of weird to tier it like that.

Also, a little bit unfair. But maybe, because it's UC, by domestic they mean California residents, who pay a lot less and probably have more funding options.

I noticed they have recruitment seminars through next week, so I wouldn't expect decisions until they are done with recruitment seminars... but I'd love to get a positive response from NYU (soon or otherwise)... I'm currently reading their faculty page for the 135067th time... I <3 NY...
