Will MIT undergrads please stop posting profiles? It makes all the rest of us very nervous. Especially when they are insecure.

I guess I was nervous that somebody would hassle me over my profile since my post about decisions went over so badly. Sharing stuff about your personal application process with strangers is intimidating and I don't think I'm going to do it anymore.

I think that this post was made in jest, but academics, achievement, recognition, and other such things discussed on our forums are understandably particularly sensitive areas for a lot of people. I know it takes a lot of courage to post publicly, especially when one feels that her or his stats don't measure up.

I'm of a mind not to delete this. If people wish to discuss or defend, that's okay. But I think it's just a joke and not meant to be disparaging.

Just so you know, what happened before was you accusing his UCSD admit of being fake. I know you were totally joking about this, but let's not isolate anyone.
