Certification of Rankings

Hey all,

I once attended a foreign university. The full mark for a course grade there is 100. I sometimes got around 70's and was still ranking within the top 10% or even 5%. I sent each grad school I have applied to a certification of rankings for the econ and math courses. Would this really be helpful or not? Would the adcom's still care about the grades themselves?

Not sure what you mean by a certification of rankings.

with foreign universities adcoms don't necessarily know how to compare your grades to american universities. My understanding for my own university is that its a lot more difficult to get an A than an American university, but prob similar to just pass.

therefore the adcoms are more likely to consider your grades based on GRE and your LoRs and less on GPA. Prob weight a lot on actual courses take too and maybe the local rep of your university.
