
I applied to Wharton's Applied Econ as well. How do they compare in placement and rankings? I didn't see them at all on the EconPhD.net rankings, but figured Wharton would be a great school for getting into industry should the path lead that way.

EconPhD.net does not rank B-school econ departments so they don't have Stanford GSB or NYU Stern either, even though both are great programs with great placements. Also, the Applied Econ program at Wharton is relatively new program combining three or four departments that used to have separate programs. I can't find placement records in their website, but given the Wharton faculty and name plus the ability to take courses and work with faculty at UPenn economics it should be solid.
