If an applicant is not nominated for fellowship, does it mean that this person will have to partially pay for his/her PhD?

    Thanks

I might have to choose the Ivies to get less invovled with the asians and more involved with people from other countries.
Perhaps it is because I am not from US but your way of thinking is really strange. First of all, you will still find a lot of asians even in Ivies. Sorry for you!!!

Sorry dude, but you will find a lot of chinese and korean people in Wisconsin economics. But even if you don't, there are many asian students in other programs.

What do you have against asians? I'm going to follow you to Wisconsin (or wherever you go).

Hey calm down, I have nothing against asians. It's just that I want to be in a more diversed environment which is not dominated by a particular ethnicity.

Do you interact with the finance students? Are they collaborative people?

There were like 5 or more koreans admitted last year. My year only had one, and there are a few upper years. They're all really cool people. The last incoming class was a bit more diverse with people from all over. I'm not sure how to compare UW to other places as far as this goes.

It is very easy to access the current grad student list and get a sense of the diversity.
