Is there anyone who got a rejection mail(snail mail, not e-mail) from Duke? I wonder whether they notify rejection via snail mail as well as via e-mail. I'm currently gonna die.

According to Grad Cafe and TM, Duke has only rejected applicants via the ApplyYourself website. i.e. Applicants get an email to check the site, then find out on the site itself.
I don't think anyone's been rejected by snail mail, so I would remain optimistic. Maybe we're just waitlisted, or will be offered admission without funding. Who knows. But I think all rejections come via the ApplyYourself website.
Good luck! And cheer up!
Thank you macro dude!
Is there anyone who knows that how long does it take to receive snail mail?(I'm international)
Duke just send their snail mail via normal postal mail?
(not Fedex, DHL so...)
I still haven't received the financial info in the mail from Duke. Hopefully it will come soon. Anyone have any info on what funding at Duke normally consists of? I'd really appreciate any help in that regard.
On a related note, does anyone know when the fly-out will be, and if we'll be reimbursed for travel?
Thanks guys.
macro_dude: my funding information letter from Duke was postmarked Feb. 25 and arrived Mar. 2. (The notification email directing me to AY also arrived on Mar. 2.)
Regarding funding: their website says "Funding is provided for first year students with no obligation outside of coursework. Funding consists of a tuition waiver for all students, a $17,000 stipend for the majority of students (90% or more) and payment of most fees for all students".
The flyout is Mar. 30 to 31, and they offered to reimburse me $300 for the flight. Hotel accommodation for 2 nights is provided, along with transportation between airport, hotel, and campus.
Thanks very much! That's very helpful.
Was the info about the flyout in the letter you received? Or did you email them?
Graduate school is a pit of despair where souls go to die
But I'm sure you've made the right decision
