But how to check the status?
When I logged in the Web Apllication Status Check, it says "
Thank you for applying to The Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, we look forward to reviewing your completed application." Does that mean my application is yet complete? But the status of all the required materials shows received.
Could anyone help to explain?

Mine says that too. There is nothing about a decision letter that I could see. Then again they haven't officially made a decision on me and that may be why.

So did they just say on the website that they would only be sending decisions by mail, and then e-mail everyone anyway?

The website is the graduate school's. You won't receive an email from them and if you call them up they won't tell you, but the department can do whatever it wants wrt to notifying their admits.

That's exactly what says mine. But I have received no e-mail from the department. Since it seems that only a few admissions were sent by e-mail, I'm officially in denial mode and I prefer to think they only contacted via e-mail their top admits, until further evidence.
