I received an e-mail letter me know that I was selected for a fellowship. I think that means I'm admitted... or maybe they'll just reject me but pay me the fellowship anyway?

Wow, Congrats!! When did you get the email?
This morning at around 10am. I assume they'll all be coming out soon.

I got one too. Actually their fellowship pays really well ... now that's kind of tempting me away from Madison
The letter did not mention anything about open house tho. Do you know more 99luftaballoons?
No more admissions decisions ... was fun while it lasted, but now it's to make up my mind.
You'll need that money. The cost of living in Ithaca is pretty high relative to other academic areas.

I wouldn't say "pretty high" by any means. I currently live in Ithaca. I pay $350/month for a 5 person house "downtown". The average is closer to $500/mo though. Obviously, nicer apartments closer to campus tend to get a little pricier. Other than that, food/drinks are the same as anywhere else. Transportation costs are minimal, CU students can use the bus system for free, and Ithaca's small enough that you can get anywhere relatively quickly. I live a relatively comfortable undergrad lifestyle for under $7k/year.
Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions about Ithaca.
