I will also be attending BU this Fall (for a Ph.D.) and am exploring the housing thing. From what I've heard, there are quite a few areas that are a short train ride away from campus, especially in the Brighton/Allston area. My tollerence for commuting has been built up by a few years of Chicago, and I think this will be an ideal option for anyone willing to make a 20 minute train or bike ride to and from campus.
I'm also planning on living with a roommate, so anyone PM me if they want to try to work something out.

When are y'all expecting to move to Boston? Ideally I'd like to move the week of August 10th so that I have like a little over a week to get situated before orientation, but I may end up bored that week if I don't know anyone yet. lol

I wonder if the MA and PhD orientations are together or separate? The MA orientation is August 24th, is that the same day for PhD?

I don't know when the Ph.D. orientation is, but I'll likely be up there for the math camp, which may start the last week of July/first week in August.

I don't know if the orientations are together.

Ok so I will definitely be attending BU this fall. This past week I was having second thoughts, but I realized BU is the better choice for me so now I'm fully committed to BU :-) I'm excited to go visit in the next couple of weeks!

By the way, I visited Boston last week, and I loved it! Is anyone going to be living in the grad dorms?? I'll be living in the dorms which will be an interesting experience considering I've never lived in a dorm and haven't shared a room since I was 14. I'm a little nervous about it.
