So I spoke with the grad assistant via email and was told that last year 28 offers were made to students on the wait list. When I asked how many were made to the long wait list, she said that 7 or 8 offers were made to the short wait list and the rest were to the long one. Just FYI for anyone on the UMN waitlist!

I didn't dare ask more. What she did say is that the waitlist rankings have not been released yet so she wouldn't know the spot I am in. Maybe someone else can email and ask about how many were put on the long waitlist?
