UPF Course selection
I haven't applied to UPF yet but will do so this autumn but I am just curious as to the course selection in the Masters program in Economics. I think one can only take the Microecon. and Basic Econometrics course in the 1st quarter and then one can go ahead and choose from a whole list of courses in the 2nd and 3rd quarter.
If one wants to continue at a PhD either at UPF or somewhere else, is one best off just taking all the core Advanced Macro(I,II), Micro (I,II) and Econometrics (I,II) and just another course or does one split these courses evenly between the 2 years (MSc 1st year and MAS 2nd year) or such...And also if one does continue on to the PhD program at UPF, does one have any idea whether or not like in North American universities, that there are specialisation courses in the field that your interested in (i.e. if your into Monetary Economics and your in the PhD program, there aren't specific courses on Monetary Economics in the program...unless that is hidden from the course list from us!!) Hope someone can clarify this from within the program and such |
