    Minnesota Applied Economics Funding

Has anyone received any assistantship offers from them? I applied for the MS program and would really like to go.

I emailed them 2 days ago and I was told that the admission committee is still deciding on funding. They have been swamped with the huge number of applications this year which seems to be the case almost everywhere.

I have not heard of funding either. Is it quite common to give out funding for masters students though?

I have a few friends in the program and they said it can be very hard to get funding your first year in a masters program...

I haven't heard back yet, but am probably attending regardless (in-state tuition, yay!)

Hi Tommie. Do you know if it is quite possible to get in to their Phd program after doing masters there?

From what I've heard, you can move into their Applied Ph. D. program pretty easily if you do well, but I think you would need to completely reapply to get into the normal program.

Anyone have any idea when we'll hear back? It's already been three weeks.

They were on spring break last week so I don't think anything would really get done then.
