Yay or nay? "Register for the free GRE Search Service"

I'm kind of skeptical as to whether any reputable programs would use something like this, but just in case -- is it worth doing this?

Quote:
Don't miss this opportunity to hear from graduate schools that are searching for students like you. The GRE Search Service matches prospective graduate students with participating graduate schools and fellowship sponsors. If you match the recruitment profile of a participating institution/organization, you may be sent information about graduate programs, admission requirements, financial aid opportunities, fellowships, and other graduate education opportunities.
(I'd link to it, but I don't have enough posts; try searching Google for
Code:
site:ets.org "register for the free gre search service"
)

edit: Also, the ETSŪ Personal Potential Index (ETSŪ PPI)?

Signing up for the search service just means that you'll get mail (physical and email) from schools. If you already have some idea of where to study, then there's no reason to do this.

I signed up, and didn't get any mail from any schools I was interested in. I don't think that top schools use the service. On the other hand, I did get a lot of mail from interesting hybrid masters programs, which was interesting to get, though unhelpful.

Yes, I think I chose that option too.
The only thing I got was couple of emails from schools I've never heard of

I've gotten emails from Tulane University, University of Hawaii, and a few other universities that I'm not terribly interested in. I suppose registering for the search service can't hurt, but it sure hasn't helped me worth a lick.
