Baby Varian
You wait for (famous economist's name, date) or footnotes if you prefer the other kind of citation, after hearing a statement about economics on the news. I was just watching CNBC and a senior guy at an investment bank said that "corporate profits is the backbone of economic growth". I couldn't believe him because he didn't have any proof. You see a beautiful girl without a boyfriend and think the market is not efficient... thats not an inefficient market, that is information asymmetry.... or perhaps you are witnessing frictional rather than structural singleness
dreck
thats not an inefficient market, that is information asymmetry.... or perhaps you are witnessing frictional rather than structural singleness hahahaha. It could also be heterogeneity of preferences. Or the fact that dating preferences are multi-dimensional (maybe she's got a terrible personality). Or a matching problem: she's a lesbian. Or perhaps government-created incentives for firms to hire women have given her an incentive to sacrifice dating for her career. Or maybe that's just what she told you when she rejected you.
