No real analysis and only intro to econometrics (LSE Msc 2yr econ)
I have enrolled for two maths courses (both half units): Calculus and Linear Algebra.
Also, I am taking the intro to econometrics course ( as opposed to the slightly more advanced @principles of econometrics). I still have a chance to switch courses. Do you think it will hurt my chances if I apply with these courses next year for the 2011 PhD intake. My first year courses are: 1. Macroeconomics (using Williamson) 2. Microeconomic principles (using Cowell) 3. Into to econometrics (Dougherty) 4. Calculus (0.5 units) and Linear algebra (0.5 units/ next term). I guess, I will not take any advanced courses in the first year. the second year (when the "Real" masters program actually begins), i will have the opportunity to take the 300 and 400 level courses.
@penndryve: I think the amount of preparation you would have by the time you apply for the PhD, a top5-10 admit looks very certain! ![]() Best of luck! |
