mabuiir just joined TestMagic.
Thank you guys for your replies. I am aiming mostly at the top 10 PhD Finance programs. I just plan to apply to the Econ programs in Chicago - where I find the curriculum extremely rigorous and Stanford and the Applied Econ program in Wharton.

It seems that I will have a very hard time - taking the GRE again and explaining why I want to move to another program. Should I say I am ambitious or I find a better match of research interest there?

Actually I am working on financial economics, asset pricing, and corporate finance. Therefore, there will be little difference between registering in a biz school or in an econ department.
