How about Tilburg?

Does anyone from this forum is attending Tilburg? I wonder how many students they are taking this year.

Although I heard that Tilburg has a good academic reputation but I still wonder how is the phd from Tilburg's chance of being employed in US Top 50 programs. And how does their MA's Competency in getting into Top US programs.

Tillburg has been discussed quite a bit here over the past 6 months or so. You can probably find answers to your questions by utilizing the search function.

Hi, I am currently at Tilburg, finance Mphil. What I will tell I think equally applies to Economics as well.

I am quite pleased with the experience I have here. CentER aims to place itself in the top 20 in the world in the coming years. They are working accordingly.

In terms of PhD placement, I think it very much depends on you and how you perform. The school creates nice opportunities for you. During PhD, students increasingly take visiting positions in other good schools (Stanford, Wharton, Duke, NYU, LBS to be some from the past 2 years). This is a good chance for PhD students to introduce themselves to those schools.

However please note that competition among MPhil students for PhD places will be increasing a well.

Also one more note: Although passing courses is not difficult, taking good marks (9 for example) requires effort. Getting a 9 is quite different from getting a 7.5, although both are evaluated as A's.
