Schools strength

Hi guys, please help me out with the specialization or strength of these schools.

1) Arizona state
2) Michigan state
3) U pittsburg
4) Penn state
5) purdue
6) NC state
7) U kentucky
8) west virginia
9) Iwoa state
10) Wyoming

My interest is behavioral and experimental econ. I just wanted to know whether my choice of schools are ok or not. Another point, suppose one schhol is strong in macro or trade, but there are some people doing experimental, will it be ok to choose that school?

Gecko 's dreams are becoming reality.
Penn state has no one in your field I think..

Arizona, Wyoming, Purdue is good.

As for the macro/trade thing, are you ok with possibly switching fields? :P

I guess, it should be ok if that's your best option. Ideally, given all options, you need to pick the department that's strong in your field.

Gecko: I would like to stay with my interest. But if i has to change i can do so for applied micro not for macro or trade. Is PSU strong in applied micro? What is its strength?

Penn State is strong in macro. Their micro group is decent however, with Shapiro, Tybout and Chatterjee. Industrial organization and auctions (possibly development) are key strengths of this department.

walt526 is almost a TestMagic guru.
Relative Strengths

IA State: ARE, IO, Development, Regional
MI State: Public, Labor, Applied Micro
U KY: Public

In terms of overall ranking, I'd rank those three: MI State, IA State, U KY

Just a minor addition to Michigan State - Schmidt and Wooldridge are helming their econometrics~

Florida State is very good in experimental as an outside top-50 program.
