UCLA Financial Statement form?

I would like to confirm if we as applicants, who have not been admitted, need to submit a "Confidential Financial Statement" form.

Since UCLA is the only school that requires that thing I'd like to confirm.

Cheers,

E.R.

According to their website, the statement is needed only if you are a international applicant.

A lot of schools require this type of form, as their regulations or state regulations do not allow them to issue I-20's to non-citizens who cannot show they are able to support themselves financially.

If you are an international student, who will require a student F-visa, and the school has one of these forms, it means you need to complete it. Even if you simply state that you will require financial aid in the form of fellowship or TA/GA positions.

One related question: Would permanent resident be viewed as domestic or international applicant?

If I apply for the fellowship, do I still need the financial statement? Or I just need to fill in that my total amounts of funding are zero?

Last year, I had not sent that form during the applicaiton process. Then, in early February, they asked me to send the form as soon as possible, which was an indication of an upcoming offer.
Then, I filled the form with only "zero" amount. Then, in two days, I received the acceptance with no first year funding.

So, you do not have to send it during the application.
And, filling it with zero amount does not affect your chance of getting an unfunded offer.
