@Gecko- My letter of reference writers are comfortable but only one of them is active in research. (If they were doing research, they would have joined north american universities )....... anyway I am not sure how much value the admission committee would put on their letters..... hoping for the best
@tm guru- yeah we are close friends |

I think his profile is much different than mine. My 3 in AWA will hurt me a lot i know. 3 is only 10% while 4 is 42%. And 790 is different than a 780.
Above all schools he is going to apply are totally different than mine. |

You have taken the same classes from the same profs, at the same institution, with similar grades, both ranked in the top 10 out of 154 students, with interests in microeconomics. A single percentile difference on the GRE, and a 3 vs a 4 AWA will not alter your chances as much as you may believe. Tomal's lower AWA and Q score are offset by a higher TOEFL score and a stronger GPA. In fact, I would be relying on your letter's to assure me that you aren't twins. The range of schools where you get accepted will come down to what your (identical?) letter-writers have to say about you both. |
