For those not watching the admissions thread, looks like there has been some movement from:

    Iowa - acceptance
    Berkley - rejection
    MIT - rejection
    upenn -rejection (informal)

I declined a funded offer off the Iowa waitlist if anyone was waiting and I was also offered off the WUSTL waitlist.

Is anyone on the JHU waitlist and if so, have you heard anything from the department or asked them when they will start notifying us?

Hmm, I wish I held on to my spot long enough to see if I would have made it. Oh well, no big deal.

    Hi ecpfdq,

My condolences on the rejection. If you don't mind my asking, did you solicit a response (ie. via email or phone) or did they simply email you a status update? UMN is the last school I'm waiting to hear from (I'm also on the waitlist) and since there have been several acceptences off the list, I was wondering if they're going through them one by one or instead responding to inquiries.

    Thanks.

I did not enquire. I got the following personalised email from the graduate coordinator at 13.20pm US local time .I was not expecting much there because the DGS replied me a few weeks ago to my email that he was not expecting to offer me a place to the program.Actually he suggested me to move on with my other options,

    Dear Mr/Miss ecpfdq:

I am sorry to inform you that we will not be able to offer you admission to the Economics Ph.D. program at the University of Minnesota. Thank you very much for your interest in the program and we wish you the best of luck in your academic career.

I am now only hoping with Michigan's second round..
