Congratulations, indeed, on the Wisconsin admits. I'm trying to decide how discouraged I should be that I didn't get a similar email. Do people think it's possible that they've now made the first-round of their best-funded offers?

And I second Marshall's disgust. I check my spam now, even though I know it wouldn't be in there. Surely Google is somehow responsible for all of this. Google and Lebron.

The worst bit is LeBron never went to college so he doesn't even know what it's like.

Someone in an earlier post (who I think got into Wisconsin) said that the email was only sent to 14 people (and they are shooting for a class size of 25), so they'll surely be sending more acceptances. (unless for some reason they didn't address all first round acceptances in the same email)

Not that I have any knowledge, but that's my guess. Looking at their statistics: last year they gave out 49 admits to enroll 25, so if they've only sent out 14 acceptance so far, there's still plenty of hope left (at least that's what I'm telling myself)!

Also, congrats to the Wisconsin admits!

Why does the Wisconsin FAQ say that they've accepted 120-150 students in the past targeting 30 students? Is this just really outdated information?

I would find the 100+ figure more accurate. After all, MIT sends out roughly 50 acceptances for a target class of=<30, so I guess Wisconsin would have to send out some more for the same target class...

Just to have some new posts to read (lol)...

Are there any insights regarding the most likely time of day admission emails come out? Or are they totally random? I've been thinking about this after last night's (sort of) late results from Wisconsin. It would be nice to have a time frame for checking TM or GC or e-mail, and thus getting a few minutes (hours?) of my day back!
