Dear All

I will start MSc Economics Research in LSE this year.
What is the posibility of a fail in the LSE Introductory Course in Mathematics and Statistics?
Does anyone have info about this?

Check the prerequisites section of the MPhil in Economics at The University of Cambridge. I imagine that you'll need to have very similar knowledge prior to enrollment. Also, take a look at the Preparatory Course section for the MPhil in Economics, your introductory course will probably be very similar. Hope this helps! On average < 5% of students fail it. If you are weak in math, it is indeed quite easy to fail, because there is no time to learn the basics during this course. Its purpose is a very fast review.

But if you are even average in math, then there is nothing to fear. The mean grade is about 70, with many people scoring > 90.
