I earnestly would like to get a wide range of information you have. Anything will be precious for me. Not having been from famous schools in US or Europe, I have prepared for many things in Korea to join in the race of being an economist. Please don't hesitate to advise me. My overall profile is as follows: PROFILE: Type of Undergrad: Economics at good(or not bad) university in Korea Undergrad GPA: 3.7/4.0 Type of Grad: The same Grad GPA: 4.0/4.0 (in progress) GRE: 3.0/152V/165Q (non native) TOEFL: 100 (IBP) Math Courses: Calculus 1,2 (A+), Linear Algebra 1,2 (A+), Elementary Analysis 1, 2(A+), Differential Equation(A0) Stochastic Process(A+), Mathematical Statistics(grad-level) (A+) Econ Courses (grad-level): Micro(A+), Macro(A+), Advanced Econometrics(A+), Industrial Organization(A+), Advanced Microeconomics(in progress), Macro-econometrics(in progress) Econ Courses (undergrad-level): Micro(A0), Macro(A0), Econometrics(A+), Mathematical Economics(A0), Statistics(A0), etc. Letters of Recommendation: Two from professors of economics(Ph.d in Top 20) One from a professor of mathematics(Ph.d in Top 20) Research Experience: Senior assistant of three projects over the past two years Teaching experience: n/a Research Interests: Empirical I.O SOP: Not bad Other: n/a Applying to: Not pursuing to enter top schools in US. I sincerely would like to have an opportunity to study in the comfortable atmosphere with abundant funding within top 50. Concerns: No experience of completing a thesis, because I have spent most time on learning math. courses. My university is not renowned. (In fact, a few students have got into study on ph.d of economics in US so far) At last, I have very few information about which school is competitive in IO. Please, help me! Thank you!
