DDQuanta
Hi all, I was rejected by their MRes/PhD but accepted to MSc in Economics instead. Does anyone have information on how hard is it to get a distinction? I'm trying to estimate possibility to get through to their normal PhD track. I'm finishing my research master's in economics now. Thesis is almost done and currently I'm the 1st rank of the peer. I'm international student by the way. Thank you all in advance.
kingofloss6
It's a very competitive program, but if you think you can do well and indeed do well, you might have a chance at a top 10 program.
specious
Do you think the shortcoming in your application is your coursework or your letters? Would it be possible for you to RA for a 1 year while reapplying?
DDQuanta
I guess it's because I haven't finish my master's degree yet. My adviser, a graduate from the same program, said most students they accept into PhD program already have at least one master's degree. I'm quite sure my RA experience and coursework is very solid: 2.5 years of RA and coursework is also similar to their program but more. Well, if it's worth it I guess I'll have a look on it. Thank you guys.
