'Relation to you' issue on apps

    Sponsored Ad:
Hello. I'm in need of some advice. I filled out my list of recommenders a while ago and realized after logging in recently that I made a mistake on one of them. In the 'relation to you' text box, I listed that the person taught me a certain course, but they were actually my ta. The problem is that the letter is submitted and I'm not able to update that text box anymore. Should email the department and hope they can change it for me? Is this not a big deal and just let it go? Appreciate any thoughts.

I wouldn't, the TA will write the letter appropriately.

Also, why are you using a TA's recommendation letter...?

Seconded. You should perhaps not use your TA's recommendation...

Unless that TA is now a well-published professor somewhere, using a TA's letter is a bad idea.
