Ah. Yeah, I'd really like to apply to Yale- I like their program and I think I'd enjoy New Haven. But it's not good place for my partner - he wants someplace with a large IT base, since that's what he does, and it'd be a large commute into the City. It wouldn't really be fair to ask him to put his career on hold for five years while I do my thing - especially when there are plenty of schools which fit both of our requirements.
