I don't want to offend u, but:
That the masters is not part of the grad school doesn't matter thtat much, as the word grad school is used a little different as in the US I think, and that is because that we didn't have the 3+2 years education system 10 years ago, but we had the 5 year route. So EVERY german student had to take graduate courses in a Diplom-programme. Of course profs are more likely to be willing to supervise a Ph.D thesis, than a masters'. But that's fact at every research university in the world, isn't it? Oh yeah, other courses that start at the beginnign (or short after that) of a year are in australia, but they are pretty expensive, normally. |
