i second the UT-Austin suggestion. it doesn't hurt to apply. i think you're being too pessimistic about your profile..

I am a highly risk-averse person,and yeah, most of the time i am pessimistic about the future. I have seen tons of people with perfect grades and GRE scores as well as strong research profile and lors here, who are knocking at the doors of the top 10 or top 20. So i dun sen any chance competing with those people for a position. Yeah, i should try some top school just to make life comeplete.
