First Year Start Dates
So, I'm trying to do some planning for this summer which will, hopefully, be right before I leave for grad school. That being the case, I'm trying to figure out when econ programs get things rolling. Those of you who've gone through the first year or are in it right now, when did you need to show up on campus?

I don't know that every school has a math camp, but they are fairly common. Some are quite short; I'd guess average is 2 weeks. UMich started math camp on August 21. and regular classes began after Labor Day.
Math camp isn't mandatory for people who can test out of the math class, but I think you'd have to show up to take the test (and it may not be given the first day of math camp). Also, there are often other orientation activities that take place during math camp. |

Thanks for the responses guys.
For anyone else who's interested in this quesiton, I googled "math camp" and found a bunch of syllabi and schedules. It would seem that math camps start dates range from late July (earliest I found was July 25) up to late August. |
