Reapply?
Hi people,
I took the decision to postpone my applications for the next year because my GRE score wasn't good enough and I hardly have any strength to compensate that. I'll take a master in the meanwhile. However, this year I'd like to submit at least one application for a PhD program, because I have been focused in that for many months ... But I fear that if I weren't admitted and if I reapply next year to the same department (with better credentials, of course), my chances to be admitted will be hindered by my previous application... Can anybody here tell me if this use to be the case, that is, if the adcoms tend to take into account if you were already rejected? |

I find it really difficult to believe that they would even know that you applied the year before. The only mechanism by which I could see them finding that out is through your recommendation letters. If your letters are already written, you might as well give it a shot and apply right now.

Thanks Antichron! no, I neither have the lors
, at least not written. I would get one relatively good and another not so good, but I have to think if this (the first specially) wouldn't mean another door closed for the next year... |
