credit hours
I am filling in the BC abstract of courses form and I am bit stuck. There is a column asking me for credit hours of each course, but I have no clue what to put in. I studied at three different institution in Europe and each used a different credit system. So now I am wondering, if I had a course which had 2 hours of lectures and 2 hours of tutorials every week in a 14-week semester, how does that translate into credit hours in the US? Thanks.

Schools usually assign one credit hour per hour you spend in lecture/lab/discussion, etc. thus, for a class in which you spent two hours in lecture and two in tutorial, I'd put down four credit hours.

Doens't the schools use ECTS points? If so, then u could use them, and if they didn't use any until the introduction of the Bologna reformation, maybe they use them now, for the same lectures u once took. Then u would have least on credit point standard.

Thank you guys. I think I will go the ECTS way. One institution actually uses them, the other two I am able to convert. It is possible to write more than just the number of credits into that column, so I will just indicate those are ECTS credits and let them do what they want with it.
