Which LOR is better?
One is from a young associate professor, who is also my special friend as we share many interests. But her major does not well match mine. The other is from a famous professor whose field I am applying to, but he does not know me much. Say that the first letter is 2 page long while the second letter is half a page (the titles of the professor covers the other half… ). Which one is better? Thank you.

i would think it depends on what the famous person writes. if he write, ya this guy is alright, as opposed to the young prof who says youre awesome, then the later is better.
the famous thing only works when the famous guy says something worthwhile. a rec from someone famous itself isnt everything. |
