Deadlines! Oops!!! Transcripts not sent yet- What do i do?

Ok as you guys might have figured out by the title I havent sent in my transcripts yet. All my letters are in and everything is done but its just transcripts thats arent in. Do you think if I order them all on Monday and the get there a little after teh 15th i am screwed? should i email each school sepeartely? Should i just pay the $20/transcript and get it all expidited?

Just curious. I have everything else in, for some reason this was a complete oversight.

I think you should be ok just send them ASAP the committee won't start looking at things until after break.

It is my impression that deadlines for everything the student is supposed to submit are fairly important. (Deadlines for recommendation letter writers are less important, though the letters certainly need to show up before the admissions committee starts reading them.) I personally would pay the 20 bucks per transcript to have them sent quickly (and hope they get there in time). Obviously, I wouldn't rush the transcripts for the schols that don't have the December 15th deadline.

I suspect a major reason why schools have mid December deadlines is so that they can ensure that all the material shows up by the time the admissions committees start looking at it (which is probably late January), but I wouldn't want to risk turning one costly mistake into a more costly mistake. Perhaps others have different opinions on this, though.

You should be fine. Just mail them on Monday. Dept staff will still be assembling applications when your transcripts arrive.

pick up your rec letters yourself and send them overnight or something.
i agree with antichron, i think that taking the risk is not worth 20 bucks. so if you cant pick them up yourself, i would shelve out the extra 20. dont give the ad people a reason to throw your application away.

Here's a question : if your application is disregarded because it isn't complete, will they refund your application fee? It hardly seems fair to keep my $60 because my GRE scores showed up on the 17th instead of the 15th!
