    MA/ MSc in Europe

    Give me a cluse please...

I have BSc in Econ with GPA of around 3.4, and also took some grad level econ courses (1st year Micro, Macro, Analysis, Microeconometrics, Macroeconometrics, and DE). My econ background includes IO, Labor, US Econ Hist, Hist of Econ Thoughts, DE, Latin American Econ Hist, and usual macro and micro. Also, i took grad level statistics courses, applied stats, first course in real analysis, DE, Linear Algebra, Probability, and etc. GPAs for Econ and Math are also around 3.4.

My plan is take one or two year master's program in Europe. What programs are there in EU and what are my realistic chances for them? ah, i haven't taken GRE yet, and i can have decent letter of recommendation.

The education systems are quite different across countries, and hence the admissions process is often not as "standardized" as in the US, so you would have to check with each university. Hence it is also difficult to tell what the admission criteria are. I think for the very competitive programs like LSE it would probably be difficult for you to get in, but there are many other good programs where you would easily be accepted. Good programs are, e.g. Tilburg, Toulouse, Pompeu Fabra, but I don't really know how competitive they are... What countries are you interested in?

getting into the first year program in toulouse is not very difficult especially if you're self funded (it's not expensive either). also, at least for last year, gre's weren't required, though if you have a good score, it would only help to submit.

i suggest you submit your application early (like by next week?) since they have rolling admissions that get easily filled up. make sure that you emphasize that you want to work on contract theory or IO in your SOP (if you don't like these areas, then i advice you to look at other programs)

their website doesnt give much info but the head admin person (Aude) is truly exceptional. pm me with your info if interested.
