i dont think we can check the status of penn online...i called them before christmas and they told me to call back during second week of january as they are "flooded with thousands of documents"

i assume that is complete because the dept website says that they will email the applicant only if certain document is missing or there is some incomplete information..

dunny..i emailed BC before christmas and they replied back saying that my application is complete..

i forgot to mention boston university? i havent heard from the..has anyone here heard from them? i did call them but the person who looks after phd process is available only on fridays..

I got an email from BC telling me that I was missing my transcript (I know I sent it, but le sigh, guess I'll send it again!), so I would guess that if you haven't heard anything, you're probably good.

Georgetown complete

weirdo: how did you hear about Santa Cruz? website or you asked them? for me it says "initiated" for all paper material and even for GRE scores that I sent to them in July. Hope I will not have to resend them.

i contacted the dept and they replied back saying that all my documents are in the file..
hope this helps..

I think even though some people say that there's no need to worry, I find it comforting to get some idea from other people about how fast I should expect these things to be updated. That is, if I should discover very late that my materials are missing, it could take weeks to send new ones from my country (this might not be as big a problem for people from the US...), and then my app might not be reviewed.

So for those who are as worried as I am, here's an update on my apps

cph: do they have your GRE scores in Toronto? it says "not received" for mine even though they should already have them from the beginning of December

I am getting worried. Now I found out from one of the European schools where I apply that they do not have my GRE scores. I have sent them in July. Great.
