I got accepted...but just with tuition waiver...no stipend at all (I'm in such a waiting list).

Congratz to all who'd made it - you can have a piece of mind for now.
To others whose good outcomes are just around the corner - do not despair!
To all: don't let emotions interfere with your current studies - keeping up a good background and study skills *will* make your first semester next year a little easier.

Hi all..I too got accpeted with tuition + 16k. I wonder how they make these distinctions between funding someone with 16k and another with 18k!

Would love to go but the intl flight is too expensive. Please let us know if you like it. You could also find out if they will be loosing more ppl, whetere epstein is really leaving...etc...would be greatly appreciated. would really love to go there, my only concern is that since its a small dept faculty leaving is a big thing
    good luck

Unless it's 100% confirmed that Larry is leaving, they won't talk to new admits about it. There'll be some evasive response, like "we haven't heard anything like that" or "those are old rumors." Maybe you can get something from current grad students.

i think that actually depends on which faculty you ask. depts are usually not so coordinated that no one will tell.
usually though, if depts find out faculty is leaving, they try to get a matching offer made which takes time to get through the burucracy. so they might say that 'we are trying to keep him on board'.
best is to just ask epstein himself!
