I just received an e-mail saying that I was admitted, unfortunately without funding so far. Does anybody know (maybe a current grad student) how likely people in the waitlist are to receive financial aid?
Tks in advance,
I just got an email too saying the same thing. I was confused because the subject was "You are on the waiting list at University of Minnesota," so I called to make sure it meant that I was in fact accepted without aid for the time being. Ms. Kersteter confirmed that I was in, but she said that she has not been given any information on the ordering on the waitlist, so I'm not sure that the ordering is complete yet. Congrats and good luck, though.

The title of my rejection e-mail from Minnesota was "Your application for the PhD in Economics at the Unviersity of Minnesota." It would be nice if they could actually spell 'University' correctly...now to be rejected from a school that can't spell just hurts!
