Tatonnement confirmed Reis from Princeton to Columbia, so you can trust that. I can't confirm anything yet, but I've heard nothing to suggest any of these senior Columbia macro offers are being rejected. But if all these offers are excepted, that definitely changes the school to one shallow in macro senior faculty (with just Woodford active with students really) to one of the deepest. As I've said, it's been an institutional priority with support at the highest levels for Columbia to improve its senior macro faculty, so I wouldn't be surprised to see it pay off.

Question for Princeton/Stanford people: Is Bernheim permanently moving to Princeton, or is this leave a one year thing?

I think that something was said in the flyouts that a Bernheim dude is coming back, but I'm not sure I got the name right.

Haha... Well, as a foreign "dude", I'm not really familiar with the inner-USA differences really well. I wasn't aware that dude is Californian (but I know that the y'all thing is southern). I guess I'll learn along the way. Many awkward lost-in-translation situations coming up .

The name tag might be indirectly related to Ariely, but I've never read his works unfortunately.

Also, Dean Karlan is staying at Yale. He had an offer from Northwestern.
