he was really impressive at the open house. Apparently the department approved him for tenure but the school didn't.... messssssed up.

For what I know he hasnt accepted it and if he accepts it the change will happen in the fall 2008.

i have it on good authority that dave ricardo's moving to upenn after being denied tenure at mit.

Jonathan Parker - to Northwestern (Kellogg) from Princeton

What about Faruk Gul and Wolfgang Pesendorfer leaving Princeton (with Gul at least going to UCLA I think)? Is that going to happen?

By the way, why did you single out both Angeletos and Werning as staying put? Were there rumors that Werning might leave, and if so, to where?

Matthias Doepke will be moving to Northwestern in March 2008.

I hadn't heard the latest on Doepke -- I knew that was a strong possibility.

I guess I could have listed everybody else as "staying put" but both Werning & Angeletos had a number of offers this year and so there was a chance they'd be moving. As far as I know, Gul & Pesendorfer are staying put too.

Does anybody know *who* gave offers to Werning and Angeletos? Furthermore, while it appears that both are staying place, did the offers initially go anywhere (ie negotiations, etc) or were they just completely ignored?
