What's wrong with the sports page? At least here there are no deals with "professors to be named later".

In addition to Rios-Rull as listed above, note that Minnesota hired a total of 9 others this year (http://www.econ.umn.edu/). They were way down in numbers but this should help.

Other news trickling in:
Joe Hotz from UCLA to Duke (continuing the UCLA discussion above)
Chris Taber from Northwestern to Wisconsin

I laughed at this thought. Not the best thing to do at work. As an avid baseball fan, I would get endless pleasure seeing universities trade faculty members in this fashion.

Stuy 's dreams are becoming reality.
I don't know if someone mentioned it before but xiaohong chen is a professor at yale now. Her CV still says that she holds her position at NYU, maybe it's the Mailath kind of move. That is, she'll go there for a year taking a sabbatical and then will consider a more definitive choice, but this is just pure speculation, she may have left for good.

Thanks for the update -- I'd heard of this possibility but not its completion. But it is official (http://www.econ.yale.edu/faculty1/incoming.htm).

I heard it from somebody at Wisconsin, but you can now confirm it here:
