It really depends on the school. I know for Georgetown it really depends on the year. Student quality is a lot more heterogeneous at lower-ranked schools, so it's not unusual to see a school cut half the class one year but then only a quarter the next. Whatever the case, though, if lower-ranked schools want to keep standards high, they're going to have to cut more people than higher ranked schools.
