They might be making a couple of offers to people they don't think will accept before their main round. I remember last year Cassin (who ended up at Princeton I believe) posted that he was offered admission around now. If I find out anything today I'll post. Last year they made offers in rounds and passed on funding as people declined offers. Some offers came out quite late. So just because you don't receive an e-mail right away don't worry about it too much (I know that probably doesn't help). Good luck.

I read they consider PhD applicants for the MA if they are rejected from the PhD. Does this mean that they won't even start looking at MA applicants for some time?

I'm not sure about the timing, but I was told by the grad secretary that they do consider Phd applicants for the MA if they aren't accepted in the Phd program. I would hope they've started reviewing MA applications.

yes. I applied Phd lat UBC ast year..

Finally they gave me MA offer with no fundings..in early May or late April( I forgot).
At that time, I declined the offer.....

This year...once again, I apply to Phd(UBC)...
If I cant get any offer from UBC,.........

is quite a laggard. Two weeks after Maureen emailed me that she has received all my materials, the status update still shows that my LORs have not been received. You might try emailing the secretary after one or two weeks.

I remember that last year..some of the applicants received their calls in the first few rounds...
after that...in the later rounds, we can get the emails instead of a call..
