Impressions on UT-Austin flyout

Anyone who Eugenio was considering nominating for a fellowship was told that with or without the fellowship, they would still get some sort of funding because they were among the best applicants. Then the funding decisions came out, and some of those people who had not won a fellowship were informed by Vivian that as of this moment they are without funding.

Is it safe to assume from your post that you will not be going to UT on August, and if so, is it because of funding, better offer or just didn't like something during the flyout?

I don't know where I'm going this fall. I'm still considering UT. If I don't go, it will probably be due to lack of funding and/or the high fail rate.

I am also trying to find out if anyone originally accepted to UT without funding has any news on funding? Good luck to us all.
